Korina is a self-taught cook who has been creating dishes in the kitchen since she was a girl. She is committed to using fresh local ingredients and her greatest culinary aim is to satisfy her diners. She lives in a northern suburb of Athens and has a wonderful patio overlooking a garden. Lena is a native Athenian but her family roots are from both Corfu in the west and Asia Minor in the east, and she draws her inspiration in cooking from both of these traditions. In fact, some of her recipes date back generations. Her apartment is located in the north of Athens, overlooking a large garden.

You’ll discover techniques as well as recipes, and you’ll hear, too, the story of each dish – where it comes from and what it means to the family of the cook that’s teaching you. Don’t forget that nearly all the cooks in Greece are home-taught, and culinary wisdom is passed down from generation to generation.
